Areas we cover across Scotland
We arrange no-obligation surveys and quotes for air source heat pump installations for homeowners across Scotland. From the Central Belt to the Highlands and Islands, our Scottish-based team helps homeowners understand what a heat pump would involve for their property. Loans available, subject to status.
Glasgow & Greater Glasgow
Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and North Lanarkshire. We arrange surveys across the Glasgow city region for homes of all ages, from tenement flats to suburban semis.
Edinburgh & Lothian
Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian and West Lothian. From tenements and townhouses to rural Lothian properties, we arrange no-obligation surveys throughout the Lothians.
Dundee, Tayside & Angus
Dundee, Perth, Angus and the surrounding Tayside area. As a Dundee-based business, this is our home territory — we know the housing stock and arrange surveys promptly across Tayside.
Aberdeen & Grampian
Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray. Granite tenements, rural farms and new builds all have different heat loss characteristics — a survey assesses what each property needs.
The Highlands
Inverness, the wider Highland council area and the Cairngorms. Rural and remote homes often benefit from heat pumps, and we arrange surveys wherever a surveyor can reasonably attend.
Fife
Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, St Andrews, Cupar and across the Kingdom of Fife. We arrange no-obligation surveys for coastal and inland Fife properties alike.
Ayrshire & Arran
Ayr, Kilmarnock, Irvine, Largs and across Ayrshire, with surveys arranged on Arran where access allows. Coastal and rural homes are welcome.
The Scottish Borders
Galashiels, Hawick, Kelso, Peebles and across the Borders. Rural borders properties are well suited to heat pumps, and we arrange surveys throughout the region.
Stirling & Falkirk
Stirling, Falkirk and the Clackmannanshire area. We arrange surveys across the central belt corridor between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Argyll & Bute
Oban, Dunoon, Helensburgh and across Argyll and Bute, including island communities where survey access is possible.
Dumfries & Galloway
Dumfries, Stranraer, Castle Douglas and across the south-west of Scotland. Rural and coastal properties throughout the region are covered.
Island communities
Where a surveyor can attend, we arrange surveys on the Scottish islands. Contact us with your postcode and we will confirm availability and timing for your area.

Heat Pump Finance Scotland is operated by Scottish Energy Efficiency, based in Dundee. Because we are based in Scotland, we understand the range of housing across the country — from Glasgow tenements and Edinburgh townhouses to rural Highland crofts and island communities. Each type of home has its own heat loss profile, and a survey is how we establish what is right for yours.
Rural and remote Scotland
Many rural and remote Scottish homes are off the gas grid and rely on oil, LPG or electric heating. Air source heat pumps are well suited to these properties, and we arrange surveys in rural areas across the Highlands, Borders, Argyll and the islands. Survey availability can take a little longer in remote locations, but we will discuss timing when you enquire.
What happens next
Once you enquire, a surveyor contacts you to arrange a convenient visit. They assess your home, calculate the heat loss, and you receive a written quote for an MCS-certified installation. Loans available, subject to status, and there is no obligation to proceed. We install through MCS-certified partners.
